Current Workshops

We provide training to care-workers and volunteers concentrating on the importance of play, developmental milestones, stimulation ideas, the importance of touch and creating a bond, and making cost effective toys. We provide educational handouts with simple cost effective ideas to promote play and appropriate stimulation. A video on normal development has been put together.

Thusanani has structured the training program into the following three workshops:

1. An afternoon workshop run in conjunction with BigShoes Foundation

2. A three week workshop run in various underpriviledged communities in Gauteng

3. A six week workshop run in various Children’s Homes in Gauteng
