The Glen Shopping Centre is one of Thusanani's major supporters and every month they host a visit for a group of children from one of the homes which we are involved with. This outing provides the children with an opportunity to experience life outside the home. They travel to The Glen, and spend time within the shopping centre which for these children can be a very exciting expedition. The children typically visit the Magic Company, where they have an opportunity to play in the arcade, or The Glen Petz. The pet shop is always a highlight!!! It is a favourite stop as it is often the first time children have had an opportunity to see different animals and in some cases to touch them too.

The outing would not be complete without a stop for lunch at Spur Steak Ranch or WIMPY where the children enjoy a delicious burger and chips. Thereafter they have an opportunity to play in the soft play areas and on occasion have their faces painted too.
