As Thusanani has expanded we have found ourselves larger premises within CMI and in April 2010 we moved into a new 'wing' of the old Children's Hospital. This move and development has enabled us to coordinate our training workshops, adoption clinic, therapy sessions, donation collection point and all our administrative functions under one roof.
Our part of CMI was completed in 1923 and we have an old hospital ‘ward’ where children once received medical care and used to convalesce after illnesses. We now have dedicated rooms for training, therapy and our adoption clinic which allows us to be more efficient and effective in our services. All our rooms have high ceilings and big windows and it has taken a while for us to make it homely and welcoming for the children. We now have curtains up and the murals that were painted by The Northridge Ladies Circle have certainly brightened it up!
