Perhaps the worst consequence of developmental delay can be understood when one sees a child who has not only lost muscle bulk as a result of inadequate stimulation, but has become apathetic and disinterested in life at such an early age.

Thusanani assists in preventing this and therefore giving a child the chance to develop as “Normally” as possible. Our Foundation is governed by the following aims and objectives:

• Early intervention of orphaned and vulnerable children affected by Hiv/Aids, via;
  • The Thusanani outreach programs to orphanages
  • Outreach programs to disadvantaged communities
  • The Thusanani adoption clinic
• Our methodology is as follows;
  • Identification of developmental delay
  • Therapeutic intervention and developmental stimulation
  • Promotion of normal development and prevention of disability
• Education and training of careworkers, management teams and crèche teachers on the importance of development and play
• Collection and distribution of donated educational toys
